In 1994, the Karnataka Sangitha Nruthya Academy
conferred upon this illustrious daughter of Karnataka, the title,
‘Karnataka Kala Thilaka’ - a befitting recognition of her
musical genius that had done and continues to do her home state proud in many a forum, on
many a stage across the length and breadth of the country.
She is an approved Music Composer as also an approved
artiste of All India Radio and Doordarshan, Bangalore. She has been giving performances in
Classical Music and Light Music all over India and has also brought out many cassettes of
Choral Music, Bhavageethes, devotional and folk songs, thereby contributing to the field
of Music.
